Learning differences

Math tutoring for students who learn differently.

Patient 1:1 sessions with me, for students with dyscalculia, ADHD, dyslexia, or years of feeling bad at math. We go at your student's pace.

$40 an hour, or $225 for 6 sessions. Every session ends with a written note to you.

In person in the West Palm Beach area, or online

Miles Ketcham tutors math for students with learning differences from West Palm Beach.

How it works

Sessions with me. Practice in between.

  1. Step 1

    Free skills assessment

We meet, online or in person. I see which math skills are solid and which need work. You tell me what helps and what your student's evaluator recommends. No cost and no pressure.

  2. Step 2

    1:1 sessions with me

Short steps, worked examples, and as much time as it takes. I follow the accommodations your evaluator recommends, like extra time or a calculator.

  3. Step 3

A written note after every session

Three lines for the parent: what we did, what clicked, and the next step.

  4. Between sessions

    Practice built for your student

I use AI tools to help me build short practice sets that match what we covered. I check every problem before it goes out. The teaching happens with me.

Prices

Posted prices. No surprises.

One session

$40 per hour

Book one at a time. Pay as you go.

6-session pack

$225 for 6 sessions

Six one-hour sessions. That is $37.50 an hour.

Both include a written note to the parent after every session. Your free skills assessment comes before any of this.

Trust and privacy

How I handle your student's information.

  • Written parent consent first. I only see an evaluation or school plan after you give written consent.
  • Disability information stays out of AI tools. I never put a student's name or disability information into them. Practice sets use the math topic only.
  • Background check. It is voluntary and in progress.
  • Students 18 and over. Session notes go to the parent only with the student's OK.
  • Help with practice problems only, never graded work. I don't touch graded homework, take-home quizzes, or exams. We practice on similar problems instead.
  • I don't test for learning differences. For an evaluation, talk to a licensed psychologist.

Who it is for

A good fit if:

  • Your student is in middle school, high school, or college.
  • Math has felt hard for a long time, with or without a label.
  • Your student needs more time and fewer steps at once.
  • You want a written note after every session.
